DANCE

To dance is to be out of yourself.  Larger, more beautiful, more powerful.

DANCE FOR JOY
DANCE FOR JOY! I (Ages 4 by Sept. 1- Kindergarden):   A lyrical dance program that motivates children to express themselves through their minds and their bodies. Building strength, coordination, flexibility, and endurance is the foundation to teaching movements and patterns as well as for creative exploration of themes such as space, fairy tales, nature or even feelings. Children will learn technique while developing an appreciation for the partnership of music in dance and choreography. Facilitated by the instructor, the students will have the opportunity to choreograph individually and in groups.  The year will culminate in a final performance that will include some of these student choreographed dances.  Instructor - Adrienne Berofsky-Seyffert.  Wednesday, 4:00-5:00pm, $225

STARS ON STAGE
Audition Required.  Your STARS will work side by side with professional actors, learning etiquette, finesse and what is expected of the working actor.  STARS ON STAGE candidates should prepare a short musical theater song that can either be sung with the provided accompanist (don't forget to bring the music in the correct key!) or with a accompaniment CD/Tape.  STARS ON STAGE PARTICIPANTS MAY NOT HAVE ANY SCHEDULING CONFLICTS DURING THE REHEARSAL OF THE PRODUCTION.  Stars On Stage musical productions require auditions in ACTING, DANCING AND SINGING. If cast, students are required to pay a performance fee. This fee helps to cover the cost of costumes and a fraction of the additional professional instruction and experience a child will gain in the rehearsal and performance process.  $395
