OUR MISSION
The Forum Theatre Arts Center is a nonprofit performing arts organization with the mission of educating, entertaining, and enriching the lives of young people and their families through the art of theatre.  FTAC has reopened in June 2009  with the commitment to provide opportunities for all children to participate and learn through the art of theatre. Her work is inspired by the belief that children deserve the very best; that process and product are one; and that art and education can skillfully and sensitively conspire to share a common soul.

EDUCATION

FTAC Performing Arts School has developed a comprehensive after-school performing arts curriculum, which includes creative drama, acting, dance and voice instruction. FTAC's summer program will include a musical theatre day camp, an acting intensive program for teens, and weeklong introductory classes.

HISTORY
The Forum Theatre has been the Cultural Arts Center of central New Jersey since 1928, when it was built as a theatre and vaudeville tryout house, then soon after as a neighborhood movie house.  In 1983, The Forum Theatre was purchased by Marlowe Enterprises, a Metuchen based corporation and operated by Entr' Acte, Inc. (a non-profit 501c3 corp) for the next 23 years.  At the height of its success, The Forum Theatre was a thriving regional theater, presenting hundreds of American and World Premieres with an emphasis on musical theatre, as well as numerous A-list concert events and children's shows.

It is our hope to restore The Forum Theatre to it's original glory, serving as the cultural focal point of central New Jersey.  An incentive for supporters of the arts, near and far, to travel to the brainy borough and support area businesses.  We would like to implement a full schedule of cultural events including concerts, dance performances, movies and recitals, as well as serving as a community center for events such as town hall meetings and the like.

With the support of New Jersey residents and local government, we believe that this lofty goal can be accomplished!  If wish to join us on this exciting journey, please contact Karin at :

Thank you!
